Xiamen ZhongChuan IoT Industry Research Institute Joined Hands with Huawei to Build the Quality IoT Ecosystem
On October 11, IoT China & Huawei Cooperation Conference was held in Shanghai as part of Huawei Connect 2018. The conference focused on cooperation between IoT China and Huawei on training and certification, joint marketing, construction of open laboratories, the industry service platform and the ecosystem. Waltonchain’s technical subsidiary Xiamen ZhongChuan IoT Industry Research Institute participated in the conference as the technical supporter of the IoT China Industry Service Platform presented at the conference.
At the conference, Director of Huawei’s China Strategic Marketing Department Mr. Cao Zejun stated: “The global market demands for IoT applications are very urgent. However, foreign enterprises still lack understanding of Chinese enterprises. We hope that, based on its credibility, Huawei can recommend Chinese enterprises to new partners overseas. Huawei is also willing to be the soil to nurture the industry, deepen innovative cooperation and work together to face future opportunities and challenges. In the following year, Huawei will strengthen its cooperation with IoT China. We hope that both sides can make use of their respective advantages to expand and strengthen China’s IoT industry and push it to the international level”.
On October 12, the IoT China Industry Service Platform was presented at IoT China Annual Ceremony 2019. Waltonchain’s technical subsidiary Xiamen ZhongChuan IoT Industry Research Institute and Huawei provide technical support for the platform. Huawei will send its technicians to the Institute for joint platform development; meanwhile, the Institute will provide operational services on it.
At the presentation, Waltonchain Project Director, Vice Chairman of Fujian IoT Industry Association Mr. Lin Herui revealed that IoT China Industry Service Platform integrates resources and advantages of the 24 member units comprising the IoT China Association. The Platform interconnects excellent IoT enterprises, market demand from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, overseas and domestic projects and information resources.
The Industry Service Platform aims to introduce the domestic IoT into a network system of open resources, cooperation, sharing, and mutual benefit, to provide a market channel for efficient project docking and to make the IoT resources and business opportunities available. It embraces efforts from chip module upstream areas to downstream capability platform and application services.
The Vice President of Strategy & Industry Development of Huawei Mr. Xiao Ran expressed at the Platform release conference that Huawei strategically chose to focus on ICT infrastructure and smart terminals. Through the addition of AI to smart terminals, channels for IDN networks and cloud Enterprise Intelligence Huawei builds an open platform based on the ecosystem concept of integrity and mutual benefit.
The IoT industry is full of opportunities and inevitable challenges. The industrial development can only be achieved through the combination of enterprise associations and promotion of IoT public organizations.
The cooperation between Huawei and IoT China is conducive to further speed up, deepen and strengthen the practice and exploration in the IoT industry.
