Waltonchain CEO Mo Bing & Subsidiary Silictec Participate in China’s National Standardization of Blockchain Technology
According to the Notice of the Standardization Administration of China on the 4th National Standard Setting/Revision Plan [2017] №128, the Information Technology — Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology — Reference Architecture (the Reference Architecture) was approved as the first national standard in the field of blockchain.
On Aug. 1, the National Standard Kick-off Meeting of the Reference Architecture was held in Kunming, Yunnan Province. The meeting was hosted by China Electronics Standardization Institute (CESI) and organized by Yi Jian Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. Industry experts from 34 blockchain enterprises attended this meeting, including Waltonchain CEO, Mr. Mo Bing and Silictec General Manager, Mr. Liu Cai.
Yi Jian Supply Chain General Manager, Mr. Wang Yuehua came to the meeting to welcome the participating experts. Director of the Blockchain Research Office of the Software Engineering and Evaluation Center of CESI, Mr. Li Ming explained the working rules of the National Blockchain Standards Working Group. Dr. Tang Xiaodan introduced the standardization background of the Reference Architecture and the current progress of the China’s association standards and international standards. Waltonchain CEO, Mr. Mo Bing, Silitec General Manager, Mr. Liu Cai and the participating experts discussed the key technologies, functional components and safety compliance of blockchain.
This meeting is devoted to the Blockchain Reference Architecture, the first association standard in the blockchain field released by the member units of the council of China Blockchain Technology and Industrial Development Forum. This standard provides support for organizations that are planning to use the blockchain and distributed ledger technology to select and apply blockchain services or to build blockchain systems. It also provides guidance for blockchain service providers.
At the same time, this standard is an important reference for ISO/AWI 23257 Blockchain and distributed ledger technologies — Reference architecture, a standard established by the technical committee ISO/TC 307 “Blockchain and electronic distributed ledger technologies”. The functional view of the Reference Architecture has been incorporated into the draft version of the current international standard.

The National Standard Kick-off Meeting for the Reference Architecture is of great significance for the development of China’s blockchain industry.
