What is a beta test?

The Waltonchain Beta Test includes a series of interconnected blockchain tools which will all be tested by the community. Feedback from the community will help improve performance, reliability and the user interface.

The Beta Test is conducted in a testnet environment where user facing aspects of the blockchain explorer, online wallet, client wallet and miner are available for public viewing and examination. The Blockchain explorer and the online wallet is at a release stage, whereas other tools are still in their beta stage. During this testing period, Walton will remain transparent and allows for a full critique of the user facing elements of Waltonchain.

Of course, depending on the results from this beta release and testing, further development may be required. This is normal and expected. All feedback will be noted and appreciated.

Why should I participate?

With Waltonchain being an enhanced fork of Ethereum with a custom DASH X11 algorithm, Proof-of-Work + Proof-of-Stake-and-Trust, Masternodes and Guardian Masternodes, it is a blockchain that is hard to ignore. Coupled with the fact that Walton have ready-to-go RFID tech and partnerships with both public and private sector companies and organisations, people across the world are eager to see it work. By taking part in the Beta you can learn at first hand about the functionalities of the wallets, block explorer and miner. Standalone PoS is not present in the beta, but will be implemented in the mainnet.
