The Delegation of Graduate School at Shenzhen, Tsinghua University Visited Waltonchain
On June 29, the delegation of Graduate School at Shenzhen, Tsinghua University visited Waltonchain. Waltonchain COO, Monitor Chan received the guests and introduced the company.
Graduate School at Shenzhen, Tsinghua University was established in April 2001 in Xili University Town in Shenzhen’s Nanshan District. It is a high-level personnel training base as well as the science and technology innovation base. It is directly affiliated to Tsinghua University and is its only off-site cooperatively-run graduate school. It is also the test field of Tsinghua University’s educational reform and an important part for establishing the world first-class university.
Waltonchain COO, Monitor Chan gave a briefing about the enterprise’s development, the blockchain revolution in the IoT and the boundless development prospects of Waltonchain.
Over time, the IoT has expanded massively and connected various devices and networks, including homes, workplaces, transportation systems and even the entire cities. On the other hand, blockchain which already has a decade of history will bring a revolution to business models through its encrypted distributed ledger by creating real-time tamper-proof records. The latter is expected to provide verifiable and safe records to the former’s devices and programs through the collaborative operation.
Blockchain operates through a distributed ledger. It will record each fact of data deletion or change. Each transaction on blockchain is provided with a digital signature which cannot be changed or removed. Due to its decentralized nature, blockchain can theoretically prevent the vulnerable devices from pushing false messages and destroying the network environment. The blockchain application in the IoT area provides a solution to most IoT safety issues.
The delegation members appreciated the great cause of building the reliable business ecosystem and indicated their optimistic attitude towards Waltonchain’s future development. Recognition is the greatest encouragement for Waltonchain’s improvement. We will continue forging ahead keeping our original intention in mind and work diligently toward our goal.
