Shenzhen Blockchain Industry Alliance Established, Silictec Elected Vice Chairman Unit
On November 29, 2018, the establishment conference and the first general meeting of Shenzhen Blockchain Industry Alliance were held in Shenzhen. Waltonchain technical supporter Silictec was elected its Vice Chairman Unit. As Silictec Chairman of the Board and Alliance initiator, Mr. Mo Bing delivered speeches at the conference along with other participating industry leaders.
Shenzhen Blockchain Industry Alliance (SZBIA) is jointly established by China Quality Certification Centre Shenzhen Branch, Shenzhen Tencent Computer Systems, Silictec, CIMC Intelligence Technology, ZhongAn Information Technology Service, Neusoft, Citychain (Shenzhen) Technology, Shenzhen Institute of Standard and Technology, Shenzhen University Blockchain Research Center and other enterprises and institutions. It is a voluntary cooperative unit committed to promotion of research, transformation of R&D results into practical use, application and popularization of blockchain.
During his speech at the conference, leading CP group member of Economic, Trade and Information Commission of Shenzhen Municipality, Director of Shenzhen Fair Trade Promotion Department Mr. Gao Zhan put forward the expectations for the Alliance to integrate the resources and advantages of each link of the blockchain industry and achieve mutually beneficial cooperation. He indicated that members should jointly promote the development of the Alliance, bring innovation to industrial services and lead the blockchain industry value.
Director of Shenzhen Institute of Standards and Technology Mr. Zhou Wen delivered a speech as the Secretary-General of the Alliance. He introduced the research work of the Institute on blockchain and standardization. The Institute will join hands with industrial enterprises to make full use of technological means of standardization and create a complete standardization, normalization and informatization system for the blockchain industry. He also noted that blockchain is the booster to revitalize the real economy.
In the presence of all the participants, leading CP group member of Economic, Trade and Information Commission of Shenzhen Municipality, Director of Shenzhen Fair Trade Promotion Department Mr. Gao Zhan and Director of Shenzhen Institute of Standards and Technology Mr. Zhou Wen unveiled and officially established Shenzhen Blockchain Industry Alliance.
At the first general meeting of the Alliance, the participants voted on the Articles of Association, Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General Units. The general meeting approved the voting results; and the organization structure of the Alliance was formed. Shenzhen Tencent Computer Systems Co., Ltd. was appointed Chairman Unit of the Alliance. General Manager of Tencent Blockchain Mr. Cai Yige was appointed Chairman of the Alliance. Silictec, CIMC Intelligence Technology, ZhongAn and Neusoft were elected Vice Chairman Units. Shenzhen Institute of Standard and Technology and Citychain were elected Secretary-General Units.
Tencent Blockchain Senior Product Director Mr. Qin Qing as a representative of the Alliance Chairman Unit and Silictec Chairman of the Board Mr. Mo Bing as the Alliance initiator, respectively, gave their speeches on the Alliance establishment and blockchain industry development. In his speech Next Decade: Believe in Innovation, Mr. Mo Bing said: “Respect for the power of information technology and innovation is one of the Alliance’s key features. The Internet has brought about the most rapid development of human society in its first decade. In the next decade, the innovation of technological application will still be the main driving force of social development. And blockchain is likely to become one of the main technological tools of the next decade”.
Following the keynote speeches Implementation and Reflection of the Asset Token in ZhongAn and The Application Scene of Tencent Blockchain, Mr. Mo Bing gave a speech Chip + Blockchain: How to Achieve True Authentication and Traceability.
Most people know that due to tamper protection and decentralized data storage, blockchain can be used to trace products. The question is how to prevent data tampering and ensure that data is real and effective before writing to blockchain? To this respect, Mr. Mo Bing proposed the Chip + Blockchain solution.
According to Mr. Mo Bing, the Silictec self-developed RFID chip for blockchain and black box can solve these problems. Taking the whole process of rice production, processing, circulation and sales as an example, the black box and RFID chip can upload IoT data to blockchain in real time and effectively prevent data tampering. Unlike software, hardware greatly increases the difficulty of cracking and the cost of data tampering.
At this conference held under the theme “Connect the World, Innovate the Future Together”, the Alliance Secretariat introduced the vision, operating mode and future plan to the participants. The Secretariat believes that blockchain is a great, yet complex undertaking; and the Alliance will gather strength from all parties for the common promotion of the blockchain technology. We believe that Silictec will play an important part in this great cause.
