Announcement on Token Swap for SMN/GMN Users
Update: The weekly number of swap participants has decreased. Starting Oct 16, 2020, Waltonchain will send mainnet coins to users who perform the token swap every two weeks on Fridays.
Dear Waltonchain supporters,
Up to now, OKEX, TAIBI, Bithumb, Binance, Bitcoin Meester, KuCoin, Ronance, HitBTC, Huobi, LATOKEN and Coinmerce have joined WTC token swap; and other exchange platforms are about to follow them. We hereby announce that from 00:00 (UTC+8) on May 10, 2020, Waltonchain starts WTC token swap for SMN/GMN users. The official reception address for SMN/GMN token swap is:

SMN/GMN users holding ERC-20 WTC tokens in hardware and software wallet addresses shall perform token swap as follows:
[For hardware wallet users]
At this token swap, Waltonchain gives SMN/GMN users a chance for a one-time change of their certified SMN/GMN address.
A. SMN/GMN users who do not change the certified address need to:
1. Transfer ERC-20 WTC from the hardware wallet address A to the official reception address for SMN/GMN token swap;
2. Waltonchain will send mainnet coins back to SMN/GMN users once a week on Fridays. Users of Ledger and Trezor hardware wallets can install the MetaMask browser extension and set up Waltonchain network in settings (see notes for details).
B. SMN/GMN hardware wallet users who change the certified address need to:
1. Transfer ERC-20 WTC from the hardware wallet address A to an ERC-20 software wallet address B;
2. Transfer ERC-20 WTC from the address B to the official reception address for SMN/GMN token swap;
3. If you change for a new hardware wallet address C (e.g. Bamboo Wallet, Ellipal Titan), please first confirm that the wallet supports mainnet WTC coins. Then, after you receive mainnet coins in the address B, transfer them to address C.
4. Users of Ledger and Trezor hardware wallets can install the MetaMask browser extension and set up Waltonchain network in settings (see notes for details).
Notes:
1. At this token swap, Waltonchain gives SMN/GMN users a chance for a one-time change of their certified SMN/GMN address. Please ensure that no other WTC transactions occur to/from the above address A, B and C during the token swap time, otherwise you will lose the respective SMN/GMN status.
2. SMN/GMN users who use address C will need to send 0 (zero) ETH from the original certified SMN/GMN address A to address C and then contact services@waltonchain.org for re-verification.
3. How to operate mainnet WTC coins in Ledger/Trezor from MetaMask:
Go to https://metamask.io/, download and install the extension for your browser, register a new address (or import an existing address with a 12-word mnemonic seed, this step is only needed to log in, the address itself is not used further) and log in, press the round user icon — Connect Hardware Wallet — select Ledger or Trezor and follow the instructions below. After the wallet is connected, press Main Ethereum Network — Custom RPC and enter these network settings:
Name: WTC
New RPC URL: https://node.waltonchain.pro
ChainID: 15
Symbol: WTC
and press Save. After the setup is completed, press Main Ethereum Network and select WTC.
SMN/GMN users who currently use a hardware wallet + MetaMask can send ERC-20 WTC to the official reception address directly from their hardware wallet address A and check their mainnet WTC in their address in MetaMask on WTC network.

SMN/GMN users who store ERC-20 WTC in software wallet addresses (e.g. imToken, MyEtherWallet, Mist etc.) need to:
1. Directly transfer ERC-20 WTC tokens from their software wallet address to the official reception address;
2. Download and install a Waltonchain mainnet wallet:

With the above procedure, your certified SMN/GMN address does not change, only the network changes to Waltonchain mainnet.

Reminders:
1. SMN/GMN users who swap tokens for coins via the official reception address will need to wait till the nearest Friday before mainnet WTC coins are credited;
2. Users who switch to a Bamboo Wallet first need to upgrade the client and firmware to v1.2 / SW_0506_ok.bin to support mainnet WTC coins. Download link: https://github.com/WaltonChain/BambooWallet.
